29" 160mm travel

SAKER
650b, 165mm
RB2 Prototype

Overview
Our first bike. Designed as a short travel downhill bike that can be pedalled all day. It's striking look and layout caused a bit of a stir when it was launched!
We started with a clean sheet and no constraints.
“Monocoque Construction. The main frame is moulded as a single element in metallic mould tools using carbon fibre and aerospace core materials."
High Pivot
We use a high pivot to give a bump absorbing rear axle path. Combined with the idler and rocker activated shock this gives and incredibly smooth and controlled suspension action.
Each design element was selected to work in unison.

The Rear Kinematics were designed to give a progressive shock rate, keeping the bike supple to find grip early in the stroke before ramping up to provide mid travel support and bottom out resistance.”

Progressive
Controlling the progression of the shock via the kinematics keeps the spring rate and damping level ratios consistent ensuring dynamic control and composure on the trail.
The rear suspension provides unrivalled control and composure on the trail.
Performance
The rear suspension and geometry of the Saker combine to produce a bike with incredible traction. The confidence inspiring ride and agility make for a hugely fast and fun bike.
Ride performance is backed up by quality engineering details to ensure robustness and durability. Every interface on the bike has a highly tolerance metallic insert and all of our bolted joints use titanium fasteners.
Confidence inspiring, agile, hugely fast!

"The geometry was set to achieve a series of weight distribution targets. Across a variety of terrain and gradients the rider feels centred and balanced."
